OPPOSING NOT OPPOSITE

Opposing, Not Opposite explores the productive tension between contrasting artistic languages, perspectives and approaches to the human experience. Bringing together painting and sculpture, the exhibition considers opposition not as separation, but as a space where different ideas can coexist, challenge one another and create new possibilities.

At Contemporary Istanbul, Mariana Custodio Art Gallery brings these three voices together to propose a visual conversation where opposing positions do not necessarily cancel each other out, but can exist simultaneously, revealing unexpected connections.

Opposing, Not Opposite invites the viewer to look beyond contradiction and consider what can emerge from the space between two seemingly different things.
